The ideal RH is between 55% and 62% relative humidity (RH). This range helps maintain aroma, flavor, and texture without the flower becoming overly dry or overly moist. Pre-rolls often arrive on the drier side, similar to buying pre-ground coffee; the longer they sit in that state, the more important maintaining proper humidity becomes. Each vault comes with (2x) 58% RH two-way Boveda pack, and users can purchase additional packs online in multiple RH options to match their personal preference and local environment.

Many premium cannabis flowers are already fully cured on the dry side when purchased. Once cannabis reaches this finished cure, it naturally resists over-rehydration.

When stored in a TerpVault with 62% or 58% humidity packs, the RH may rise gradually and then stabilize below the pack’s labeled percentage instead of locking at an exact number. This is normal and expected behavior.

Humidity packs regulate the air inside the container, not the plant itself. If the flower is already moisture-stable, the system will settle at a natural equilibrium rather than forcing additional moisture back into the cannabis.

This does not mean your TerpVault is leaking or malfunctioning — it usually indicates properly cured cannabis being preserved as-is.

Yes, each TerpVault includes (2x) Size 8, 58% RH Boveda® packs , perfect for everyday use. These packs help maintain a stable environment inside the vault, suitable for up to 1 ounce of cannabis for around 90 days.

A two-way humidity pack, like Boveda®, is designed to both add moisture and absorb excess moisture to maintain a specific relative humidity level. Instead of only drying or only humidifying, it works in both directions to help keep flower in a more consistent range. This helps preserve aroma, flavor, and texture over time, so cannabis is less likely to become overly dry and brittle or overly moist and spongy.

The capacity of a TerpVault depends on the model. The Bud Vault can hold up to 1 ounce of flower along with a humidity pack, while the Pre-Roll Vault can store up to 10 king-size joints in separate channels.

TerpVault is designed for everyday storage and humidity control. It is not advertised as fully airtight or 100% smell proof, although most users report little to no noticeable odor when the vault is properly sealed.

Standard jars simply store flower, and clear glass offers little protection from light, which can break down terpenes over time and dull aroma and flavor. TerpVault pairs storage with real-time humidity monitoring, space for a humidity pack, and a solid, display-ready design that looks as good on a shelf as it does in a bag.

The digital hygrometer measures the relative humidity inside the vault and displays it on the front of the lid. It is powered by a small, replaceable LR44 button cell battery. Readings may vary slightly depending on how recently the lid has been opened and the surrounding environment.
